Please forgive me for answering a question you didn't ask, but does the printer need to be wireless? I gave up on wireless printers for just this sort of reason - what I have are a couple of ethernet-connected printers (technically they have integral print servers) which are connected to the router with cables (actually a powerline network, but that's just a detail).
All my stuff still prints wirelessly - it just goes via the router (not that you notice, because it seems the same). If you implement it with a powerline adaptor it means the printer can still be placed anywhere because the ethernet can come from the same power socket that you plug the printer into...
