I think if you look at where the money came from for the Saab aircraft it would have been Air New Zealand. I think if you look at the history you will see many seconded staff went from Air New Zealand to Air Nelson in the early days, especially in the engineering department and QA.
If Air NZ had not put their money into Air Nelson it would not be here today. Just like Eagle and its new aircraft, all Air New Zealand money and control.
