Please stop beating round the bush, the point remains that trainers/managers lost their positions, simply because they were doing their job, and just incase you forgot this is how this topic started.
No matter what excuses you make and whatever tactics you use you will never be able to cover up this crime, which I consider you a part of, since you seem to be desperate to do anything to smother any smoke that has developed.

1) Yes he was influential, that is how he managed to get two, very good trainers/manager out their positions. I don’t know what you understand by fair? My understanding is, if I fail, then I get retrained and when I achieve the required standards then and only then will I get checked out. Rather then use my influence and remove the guys that fail me.
2) I don’t need to give out any information’s regarding the outcome of the findings of the review board headed by R. Hill, since the facts speak for them selves. (R. Hill landed himself the job of HOFO and managed to get his mate from BMI into the position of FST manger in fact I wouldn’t be surprised when eventually he digs a hole for the VPO and place himself in that position. Need I to say more???!!!!!!!
3) On a recent discussion regarding QAR tapes the FS manager was stating that they only manage a meager 60% data recovery if not less at times, and they have a major problem with tapes getting lost. I remember they had a similar problem in the previous outfit I worked for, and I am sure a lot of other airlines have similar problem. (Maybe Ladies/Gentlemen experienced in this field can elaborate more on this point)
4) I hope I will never need to use any influence in this airline since I don’t have anybody with any authority.
