Hopefully there'll be a leak about some previous regulatory action against either or both of the dead POB, so that the usual smug 'tut tutting' can be engaged in by the usual suspects.
Clearly there should be more regulations and restrictions around flying. There should be a list of circumstances in which pilots commit an offence if a mayday is transmitted. One of the circumstances should be any in which a couple of arseclowns on PPRuNe decide that a mayday should not have been transmitted.
