Well, presumably the airports that require a subsidy to remain in existence, because without it, they wouldn't be "in existence"!
With the oil industry on the up again - in large part because they have been subsidised through the down-turn by removing all requirement for them to pay tax - it would be an outrage if their main Scottish airport was given direct taxpayer subsidy.
