Seems the issue yesterday was at the north end of the runway, where I think they have had problems at least once before. Wonder if it was part of the area that was extended in the last few years.
Was having a nosey at the ABZ Official Twitter feed, nothing yet about the new RYR route to Malta for S18, which is quite surprising given it is a route we have not had in quite some time & is welcome expansion. Then again I haven't heard or seen anything in local news either so far. The RYR announcement was in Malta on Friday, so maybe the equivalent UK/local announcement comes later.
Re Air Transat, I have a pic of a TSC B752 departing ABZ, & was always that type as far as I recall. But always possible they did utilise the A310 at times I was unaware of.
