Mention is made of the aircraft being used in a tourist op. Might explain the drunk pax.


"Was the motor running..." Looking at the video the propeller stops rotating just before the aircraft comes out of the turn.

Mention was made in the LL comments of glassy water. Looking at the video there are some small waves behind the aircraft touch down point though straight ahead of it the water appears to be glassy. The water reflection of the rocky island straight ahead of the aircraft shows the glassy surface to good effect. I'd ruminate that if the pilot were looking straight ahead for the 'landing' towards the rocky island, and not using the boat or land either side as a reference, He may very well of not seen the water surface due to the islands reflection taking away any perspective of where the surface is.
