Passengers/Users View of Luton...

If you want to listen to an hour of slagging off of the airport, listen to the first hour of this phone in, with passengers and users giving their views!

BBC Three Counties Radio - The JVS Show, Luton Airport, smoking, Doctor Who plus the consumer hour

Main Points:
- Queues to the airport are still as bad, despite the airport promising they would improve.
- The airport telling people to use the free service at the mid-stay car park to drop off passengers and no bus coming to pick up passengers up for 40 minutes.
- No new seating areas air-side, despite the airport growing.
- Dingy stairwells passengers are forced to stand in for 20 minutes, before being allowed on the aircraft.
- Taxi drivers complaining it takes more than 10 minutes to drop passengers off and get to the payment barrier, costing them more than £3.
- Queues for the toilets.

To be fair they tred to keep it balanced, but not many complimentary callers called in, one about the disabled services are very good and another had a positive experience picking up a passenger.

The phone-in followed an interview with the airport, about passengers complaining about the experience of using LTN, and this was on the breakfast show. Using the below link and fast forward to 1hr 19mins into the show, I don't really rate the interviewer, but he did try to hold the airport to account. But the airport now seems to hire greasy PR staff to do the interviews!

He tried to brag about the new catering facilities that opened this week, but the interviewer held him to task, about not everyone wanting to eat and just want somewhere to sit.
