How much easier it was when I flew into Perranporth from White Waltham almost sixty years ago, no radio to worry about! At the time I was installing R&D equipment in the old Coast Guard building, and used to stroll along the cliff path to the airport to watch the gliders slope soaring above the cliff, the only aviation activity of note at that time. Now I see it is likely to become a residential air park. What a splendid location that will be!
