One of the great joys about flying in this country is you don't have to talk to anyone. That route is quite do able without needing to talk to anyone other than you departure and arrival airfield.
With a "basic service" you do not expect and may not get any traffic information or conflict resolution information. If you need the reassurance of someone to call for help to put 121.500 and listen out. It you are have 7000 set on a mode S transponder people will know where you are and what your altitude/FL is. If you have ADSB out enabled anyone else flying with FLARM or Pilot Aware will know who you are and where you are.
Keep a look out and enjoy flying in a beautiful part of the world
