Interesting post from LTNman on the SEN thread about increased slots becoming available when the 08 full length taxiway is finished. I wonder how the airport will use this? Over a two hour period on Monday only four aircraft used the full length - A Blue Air 737-400, an exec MD87 and a couple of Wizzair A321s, although I felt the OTP bound Blue Air 738 from the intersection looked tight - I'm sure they had done their numbers. If that is typical then flow rate won't change very much. However if the airport actually make full length departures more common, a major effect would be de-cluttering of taxiway alpha which at one period had five aircraft queueing both to the east and north of the alpha/bravo intersection.
