So your friend hasn't been to Luton for a few years then?
The big test will be when the drop off zone is extended to its full length in a few weeks time. When it is the zone will go back to 4 pedestrian crossings rather than the present 2, as the inbound left hand pavement will lose its route to the terminal without crossing the drop off lane not once but twice.
The 2 inbound crossings were closed down a few weeks after opening due to traffic congestion but I have noticed that the new horseshoe that will mark the far end of the drop off zone has no pavement around it with just earth as per the original drawings.
Can't help but think it is all going to end in tears as 3 out of 4 kerbsides involves passengers crossing the drop off lane at least once and sometimes twice. 2 crossings brings the airport to a standstill so now we will get 4.
