Is it possible open some part before the summer? If they do not do anything, this summer will be a total chaos in departures...
The Bella Italia restaurant is now open and the new pub is due to open around June. As they partially occupy a closed off corridor that has been removed and the former duty free shop the departure lounge will have a bigger area than was available last year. Work on pier A, to make it wider, add an extra gate and add two departure lounges on the ground floor seems to be finished now. I am calling them lounges but it is just somewhere to stand up and wait after walking down the staircase.
With regard to the new build I would say the first part to open will be one of the new ground entrances as the window frames are now going in and also the yellow recess entrances. Work continues on the new ICE money exchange shop which will sit opposite the entrance as their temporary location will need to be moved out of the way.
No sign of any canopy going in yet over the frontage so the opening could still be quite a way off.
