This report is really a bit of parochial fluff. Pontrilas is relatively small having visited a few times, once to avoid answering embarrassing questions for a couple of days. The minor road closure is only temporary during para drops from helicopters. It's not as disruptive as closing the A419 to do ULLA at South Cerney or back in the day shutting the A27 to drop an SSP at Tangmere. Most gratifying.
