Ryebridge are building 2 extra stands on the south apron taking the total to 6. Most of the new concrete is going in at the 08 end while there is a smaller strip going in towards 26 and taxiway Delta.
The other 2 new stands are going in on the Pond, which is overlooked by the Holiday Inn and is used during the day by Signature. The stands have already been marked up as stands 16-19. The bulk of the work is to increase the depth of the Pond particularly towards the tunnel end so the apron will be all but touching the fence of the Holiday Inn car park. There is also a slight increase in width.
Other new stands have been created by remarking the existing stands include 1 on the hangar line and 2 on the Eastern apron. In a couple of years time Signatue's other apron by the site of the former Flying Club will also have new concrete poured and will become 3 extra stands.
