Luton needs and needed a longer lease. Off the top of my head I think this existing lease was for something like 30 years which was taken out years ago by Bechel (can't remember the spelling) then was it TBI who took over. Think the airport has been run by 3 or 4 operators all on the existing lease but Aena got something like a 2 year extension for their investment.
I think Southend is something like a 99 year lease. Sorry to be vauge but I am away from my records this week so can't check my facts.
