Certainly the publicly stated intention has been to use the money from the housing to fund the development of the rest of the Masterplan - e.g. this quote from the Echo
Committee members were told by airport owners, Peel Airports, that all profits from the development would be invested back into the airport that is currently generating losses of £200,000 per month.
Again - not clear if this includes covering the onging losses? Itwould be interesting to know if any conditions have been or can be added to the planning permission - where's our eye-witness reporter?
