Not having a pop at you personally as I agree with your point. However, if we want answers, and we really are as concerned as posters make out, why not ask? Send in a Confidential Safety Report and ask why they have to work six days off a week? Ask why they do 10 hour shifts and often without the breaks stipulated? Ask why the driver involved in the accident was fined 500 dhs for a late pick? Ask if taking 20% of his monthly salary for one misdemeanour is part of a 'just' culture? Ask if they threatened him with disciplinary action if it happened again? Ask if this was no doubt on his mind two days later when he hit the police car at 4am?
Because asking on here will get you nowhere. Force the Company to give us the answers we want, not your fellow colleagues. We already know the answers, let's hear it from the Company. Please do not let our own apathy contribute to acceptance of unacceptable practices. We have the ideal reporting system for concerns such as this. We need to use it.
Is it not our own lives at stake too?
