If you read the local media industrial planning is up, new power stations, chemical plants and a new fertilizer mine with deep sea port terminal. Car parts industry is up, but that doesn't produce many outbound flights. Tees Valley looks brighter than the rest of the North East, we will also soon have a new mayor to splash some cash!! The Steel industry has produced a number of brownfield sites, the obvious one at Redcar but there are others like a massive scrapyard in Stockton which has decided to give up.
