Be aware that if the DAME signs your condition off as no risk to aviation then you're likely to have a few years of a "subject to CASA approval" Class 1 medical along with a possible shortened validity of your Class 2 medical. You pretty much need the DAME to write you the same note for a few years saying that your condition doesn't affect your abilities to commit aviation before the regulator will give you a new unrestricted medical.
