Which is all the more reason to get involved in a social setting with other flyers and their partners.
As I said in post #4, go to the breakfasts. Drive in if you can't fly in. Mention that you can flip eggs and you will be made even more welcome. At one airfield, you will virtually be kidnapped, put immediately to work and still have to pay for your breakfast!
