Looking at the above time scales next summer sees work start on the new Central Station and cut and cover tunnel inside the CTA that will cross the duel carriageway.

I do find it remarkable that the drop off zone and duel carriageway, both of which have yet to be completed, will be dug up only a year after being completed although the dug up sections of the duel carriageway will be put back into position after the tunneling work has past the road.

Nothing has been published about the location or design of the new drop off zone or how passengers will get across the ring road but wherever it ends up it is going to be quite a trek to the terminal.

At some point the new multistory car park will be built but there are no dates for that project but with a MPT construction camp being built in the short term car park it might be the case that nothing can be done until after 2021 when they have left site.

A fact worth considering is that work on the airport upgrade started in 2015 and work inside the CTA won't now be finished until 2021 and probably 2022. That will be 7 years of construction work inside the CTA.

It will leave only the control tower and easyjet HQ as reference points, everything else will have changed.
