Single Rwy Dest diversion to Alt. single Rwy.
Would request comment on a scenario that was discussed.
On arriving at a destination with a SINGLE runway, with an alternate ALSO with a SINGLE runway. Would you as a PIC divert to an alternate when divert fuel was reached or would you work on the fact that by hanging around you could land due to unforseen delays to the approach but would also use some of the divert fuel. Bearing in mind that both destination and alternate has single runways and reserve fuel for the alternate is 30 mins.
