Pay to fly is the only thing our management haven't tried to solve the (self-inflicted) crewing crisis. This would be the perfect chance to introduce that. It would fill up the new training college overnight with the vague promise of a job at the end of it and the even vaguer promise of flying a widebody after that. Plenty of people would fall for that. After all, an airline like Emirates wouldn't tell lies to potential employees would it?
Having said that, it would be a perfect place for the local cadets to start but somehow I don't think they would go for it.
