As part of the phase 2 expansion of stands 16 to 19, part of the Holiday Inn car park fence has been moved by a metre with the railings replaced by wire meshing. I guess every little helps as the apron will not only be made slightly wider but also slightly deeper.
Work also started this week on adding 2 stands to the Southern Apron. Again this is part of phase 2 so the taxiway extension to 08 should be starting soon.
Pier B is taking shape.
The new horseshoe taxi rank is under construction with the two new bus bays being filled with concrete this week.
The exit route for the duel carriageway has been receiving its base this week inside the CTA. Outside the CTA nothing is happening.
The painted floor of the footbridges and lobby areas continues to wear down to bare concrete in places while other areas are bubbling and flaking again down to bare concrete. With the footbridge only being open for 2 months the paint is not fit for the traffic it is encountering. Also due to its colour it is impossible to keep clean when wet.
