I think you will find that the electrics are vulnerable to the elements, at least the passengers are earthed if they get to use them.
I wonder if internal lifts are cheaper than external lifts to purchase and maintain? In the case of Luton, it wouldn't be down to cost......
The new road to Century Park is interesting. Much demolition will be required to the north of Percy Way and the industrial estate behind the long term car park!
