With the traffic queue reaching Capability Green this morning, which is too far to walk and the station shuttle bus service grinding to a halt again I wonder how many poor souls will have had their Christmas ruined by missing flights?
Luton is over 18 months into its upgrade and I have to say I can't ever see Luton getting a handle on its congestion. Even allowing for two lanes of traffic from the Holiday Inn the traffic queue this morning would have still reached the railway bridge.
As pointed out the new single lane drop off zone can't handle Luton's peak traffic and the airport is still well short of the 18 million passengers the airport is meant to be able to handle.
