Spanish eyes, I too thought of that ugly bridge (though a petition was raised to protect it) which dismayed me but I considered many supporters of keeping that bridge were just being nostalgic. However thankfully it has gone and the area now appears to have been brought into the 21st Century and reinvented itself as the transport interchange which admittedly is now pleasing to the eye though beggars frequent the area.
