It certainly looks like every penny that could be saved has been saved in the construction of the passenger footbridge although in the big scheme of things it would have added maybe 1% to the cost to put in a proper finish. It has zero passenger appeal and those large puddles inside the building are the icing on the cake. It is clear that the airport really does see its future as being at the bottom of the market although the bottom of the market has served it well.
The airports new footbridge had me scratching my head as it looked so familiar. Then it hit me as it is a copy of the towns railway station footbridge that was knocked down in 2011 as being awful, not fit for purpose and an eyesore.
