Add in new gates 27 and 28. These are new ones to add to the extra stands on the pier. I believe that 2 lower gates are currently still being finished. Will be done by next summer.
Gates 27 and 28 at the end of the pier aren't actually new gates. They used to be gates 24 and 25. Some other pier gates have new numbers (e.g. gate 19 is now gate 20) to fit in with the new gates that will come in to use when the pier redevelopment is complete. I believe there will eventually be 4 gates each side of the pier which will (at last) match the number of aircraft stands. Once complete, there will be pre-board zones at ground level - much larger than those in use along by stands 5 to 9L - which will see an end to the current system of passengers queueing on the stairways.
