Well, my point is, that it might be better to stick to one format - saving mindcapacity to convert numbers (which shouldn´t be a problem if everything goes smooth, but can distract from important matters, if the going is rough)
Same with gallons, which is a volume figure only needed, when refuelling.
In flight the weight of the fuel is the more interesting figure - cause that is correlated to the limiting factors.
Making live easy for a pilot reduces the chance to **** up and enhances the spare capacity, which could be used for trouble analysis, in case of.....
