As a 16/yr twr and 8/yr app controller, one thing missing in my career is standing on the runway at Oshkosh, paddle in hand, waving the aircraft side-by-side for take-off. Two at a time, barons mixed with cubs with bonanzas with 172's! And it works! (won't even go into the ultralights just off the right side of the runway doing T/G's.) I envy those of you who've worked it; those are memories for life!
