I'm full of bright ideas. For a few million quid more, the planned rail link could be extended another half mile to the staff car park/car hire centre. At last an end to the 15-20 minute wait for a bus! (it gets stuck in the morning gridlock like everything else), then enduring another 10-15 minutes feeling like a sardine while the (packed) bus crawls its way to the CTA. Then of course doing it all in reverse at the end of the shift. It would take at least an hour off my journey time every day!
Then for another few million quid it could take in the long term car park as well, giving the valued airport customers a much improved experience. Might even move us off the bottom of the airport league table!
You can enter the airport opposite the car hire centre next to cargo, if you have a airside driving permit (and comapny vehicle to drive across the taxiway!).
