The allowance kicks in at age 5, but you have to start kindergarten by 3 or your chance of getting into an ESF or independent school is very slim. ESF fees start at HK $100,000pa. A 90% (taxable) rebate of the ESF fee can be claimed by eligible staff from the company.
Independent schools like the Australian school can be $195,000 for yr 12. Most pilots are out of pocket between $7000-10,000 per child per month depending on the school.
