You state that Luton 'has done well in SQUEEZING so many passengers through a terminal that is no bigger than one of Copenhagen's piers' I think SQUEEZING is the correct term here and I bet you had a far better airport experience at CPH something that will NEVER be the case at LTN regardless of its minimal expenditure on expanding the pathetic terminal and road system, it all looks very cheap and not becoming of an airport which will eventually be accommodating upto 18 million passengers a year.
Take the LONDON off Luton and I suppose it may be ok but really it doesn't do anything for the image of London or the likes of LCY, LGW, LHR and STN which in my opionion are the only true London designated airports.
