Whilst looking at the Jerez web site it accrued to me, that my Cessna 172 is better than there's, so why am I contemplating going all the way to Spain to rent one.

Florida would be a whole lot closer than Arizona, but I've never heard a good word said about Naples Air Center. I would need some more information to form my own opinion though. I will look into it. It's just I've read stories about Florida based instructors bouncing cheques and failing EASA examiner check rides and wanted to avoid any pit falls.

Yes, I'd rather use my Cessna 172 and do the test in a rented Cutlass RG. However she will have a lot of time in my friends Piper Arrow to get the hours required for her US Comm/Inst/Multi. I can trade time at a ratio of three for two to borrow it anytime. But can't take it to Arizona for a few weeks.
