...sounds to me like an expensive hobby, if that's only as far as you wish to take it. To make a career of flying I would re-direct all of that helicopter hobby spending to something more purposeful, like CPL-A training with IR and ATPL subjects completed. That is infinitely more likely to find you a job at the end of the training pipeline than a basic helicopter license will. And it will probably be cheaper for you to get to that point than the helicopter option.
