Interesting idea but the bigger issue are those pedestrian crossings. At busy times and not so busy times one crossing to the island brings the CTA to a standstill.
No doubt the airport are hoping that when the temporary crossing to the short term car park is replaced by the bridge everything will be OK. Yes the temporary crossing does hold the traffic up but when the queue starts again and only ends when the crossing from the island has been passed that is the real issue that has to be resolved.
What is needed is two lanes in and no pedestrian crossings . ClearLand08 has cracked the first problem but maybe made the second problem worse. When someone has cracked that the problem is solved.
