It would appear that the airport to the east was not the first choice for the budget airline based in the north of England that recently made an announcement!
I find that hard to believe but if it was true the airport has paid a price for the years of dithering when it came to starting the upgrade.
There would be nothing to stop the airline moving in a couple of years but with their Birmingham base just up the road Stansted gives them a whole new catchment area with not much overlap compared to Luton.
