In my view having an airbridge at an airport means 'were grown up and up their with the big boys', well that's my opinion.
I actually share
canberra97 views on this subject. I even his share his views on the location of any would be airbridges and could see a couple going in on the northern side of the main pier. Why the northern side?
The infill of pier A means the pier is getting 2 and a half pre-boarding areas for the eastern apron but not enough to cover each stand unless they are divided in two but crucially at apron level so would be no good for airbridge boarding. The northern side seems to have more stand area depth to accommodate airbridges, is only going to gain a single new staircase and is not getting pre-boarding areas at apron level.
Eastern
Northern
The eastern apron has now been expanded to create 2 extra stands with Pier A and soon to be built Pier B having 4 stands each.
