To be honest LTNs ambitions are seriously limited by the length of runway when it comes to long haul
I doubt the airport would ever get its money back if they extended the runway. With the land dropping away at the 26 end and on a cliff face at the 08 end the cost in shoveling earth would be huge and that is assuming they had the earth to shovel which they don't.
Don't suppose the recent boundary changes being made by the Government will have any effect on the Airport?
I think the boundary changes are just for elections.
