LTNman - you assume that stansted wanted/could accommodate them. You remember the press release when the route started that was more about slating stansted than the actual route? There are rumours LC approached Stansted and were told 'no'.
That said after that press release I don't think they would have approached stn anyway - I think it's more to do with the fact the route just wasn't profitable
