Don't forget a first aid kit and fire extinguisher too. There is another thread on this somewhere (search PART-NCO) where a nice chap has summarised part-nco in aircrew speak. ie "if you are VFR you need x,y,z" "if you fly at night add a,b,c" etc
In defence of the reg, it's timetable for enforcement was set in 2012. Just a shame the CAA hasn't been better at publicizing.
