Kudos to them for a large formation, but the days of the balbo aren't that long off! RNAS Culdrose Air Day 1975 had ~50 helicopters plus a dozen or so FW, Singapore flypast of HMS Triumph (final Fleet Review) has 847, 826 plus various ships flights making up 40 or so, and I'm sure that the likes of SASless can recall many tactical formations with double the 'record' number!
