The only answer can be from the Avmed doctors (AMA not AME).
I believe that I have heard of one pilot in another company that has this and flies - but only rumour.
Since there are no acute issues, as long as the treatment is planned and monitored, I believe that there may be a good case for a Class 1 continuing to be renewed. I couldn't guarantee what they might think about a initial issue though.
