All of your posts are good however, you are forgetting one thing. Asking people to wait for times to get better before doing it is like asking people nowadays to so without the credit shops will give you and save the money. I am sure that some characters will do this and for the right reason but there will ALWAYS be enough people who will do this as it is the first chance of a job.
Can you realistically deny them the chance to get a job. Probably not if the airlines are offering it. Only way to stop it is for employed pilots to bring it up with the unions and ballot on it. After all from the arguments put here it will be affecting your salaries.
Personally the reason I won't do the TR thing is I have a stable job which pays the debts and I can not get the time off to do a TR.
