So there's the solution, S34: A 'Tissot Touch'. (I stand corrected, AerocatS2A.)

Good luck sitting 'down the back' of an 'unpressurised' aircraft and sighting down the longitudinal axis of the aircraft to work out your magnetic heading.

I'd find the GPS-derived track a much more useful piece of navigational information than heading. But that's just me.
