Weekly redevelopment update

A block wall is starting to be built along two sides of Signatures new apron.

The foundations for the link building to pier B are now complete. Steel beams for the framework have been arriving on site and parts of the existing terminal have had panels removed.

Also on the Eastern Apron one of two new stands are now complete with the barriers being removed although it hasn't been marked up yet.

The third and last building for the passenger footbridge now has complete foundations. Also as seen in the middle distance one of two bridge support pillars has also had its foundations built. In the background the second building is now being clad with a gap being left for the next section of bridge.

As can been seen in this photo a small section of the ring road has been curbed on both sides and appears on the right. The two lanes of the drop drop off area and being marked up for tarmacking with the tarmacking machine just out of site. It is a complete mystery to me how this work will be brought into service particularly the new section of ring road that starts in the middle of the car park.

The car park is now on its 15th column with 3 more to go but this side is more complete than the tunnel side. Also work has started on the floors at this end as can be seen by the darkened ground floor.

With the framework now passing the exit barriers the end is in sight but the ground work isn't finished here yet so progress might slow down for the final columns.
