and there is always the other side of the coin: in 2007 we were a group of 35 Pilots looking for jobs world wide, we set up a joint database where (almost) everyone poured in his information about available jobs. All of us got more or less what we wanted ( in my case 12 days on 18 days off part time contract flying A346) and we are still in contact with each other. Sharing the info beats sitting back in your hole in the ground and thinking of every "fellow pilot" as the one who will grab your chance to land that elusive job. (BTW its also an easy excuse for your undernourished ego)
