LBA was one of the stops on Channel Airways' "bus-stop" service that routed Southend-Luton-EMA-Leeds-Teesside-Newcastle-Edinburgh-Aberdeen, starting in November 1967.

Although the service was normally a Viscount/748, they used a One-Eleven for the proving flight and (IIRC) on the occasional substitution.

So that's another possibility.
